A complex process - Ryanair
Interaction design

Project Overview
Ryanair has grown into one of the most successful airlines in the world, known as Europe’s largest low-cost carrier with connections to over 40 countries and more than 230 airports. For many travelers, Ryanair represents affordability and simplicity - a quick way to explore Europe without breaking the budget.

But while the airline emphasizes simplicity in the air, its app experience tells a different story. Booking a flight is inherently complex, involving many steps and decisions, yet today’s digital travelers expect that process to feel seamless, intuitive, and stress-free.

For this project, I set out to take on that challenge. The assignment asked me to identify a complex process within an app and reimagine it. Given my personal passion for travel and aviation, I chose the Ryanair app. By analyzing its booking flow, I uncovered opportunities to make the experience more user-friendly and less overwhelming. In the following case study, I walk through my approach and the improvements I designed.
